After a serious case of harassment, the National Olympic Committee urged all sport federations to create a policy to protect their athletes.
So in 2019, I was asked to create the Anti-Harassment, Prejudice and Violence Policy in Rowing. To write it, I researched documents from governmental agencies, sport federations and other organizations. The document also includes feedback from stakeholders, specially the National Rowing Athletes Commission.
Later, it was summarized to be used in social media and flyers that we gave to athletes on national competitions. The World Rowing Federation praised our efforts and appointed our Technical Manager to the Gender Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Cross Commission.
