Brand Licensing

In 2013, I was part of the team that designed the new branding guidelines for the Brazilian Rowing Federation and introduced a new name, Remo Brasil, to be used as the commercial brand for rowing in Brazil. In 2021, we closed our first licensing deal. Apparel company Acrux became our official partner, selling rowing gear with the Remo Brasil brand and also the official unisuit for the National Tream.

A year later, we had over R$ 30k in sales with 186 pieces sold. The unisuit alone sold 85 units. The results were very impressive for a niche sport in Brazil, with fewer than 3k registered athletes.

Olympic rower Lucas Verthein and national champion Chloé Gorski starred in the lookbook. Two different lines were sold: Minimal, with simple and more discreet graphics, and Gradient, which used the same design as the official uniform of the National Rowing Team.
